A native of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Mary Weaver Tovornik and her husband, Kevin, moved to Horry County, South Carolina in 1994. Before moving to South Carolina Ms. Tovornik practiced law in Florida. Her legal experience includes estate planning, estate administration, residential real estate, lender representation in commercial and residential lending, business formation, insurance defense and admiralty. She has represented clients whose needs varied from a developer in a downtown redevelopment project to a container owner for whom she arrested a vessel at sea.
Ms. Tovornik graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, with a degree in Business Administration. She obtained her law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. While at Cumberland she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Landlord / Tenant. Ms. Tovornik is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and Florida.
Ms. Tovornik enjoys a life-long passion for horses. She and her husband currently own American Quarter Horses and an American Paint Horse.
